Training in Research Based Reading Programs

[NOTE: A research based program is effective when it is must be delivered as it was designed, the provider is trained to the standard specified by the program developer, and the program is appropriate for the needs of the child. The choice of a program is made in response to the recommendations in a
diagnostic reading assessment. A diagnostic reading assessment should be done as soon as child has fallen below the reading level of his peers. A diagnostic reading assessment is not reserved only for children suspected of having a disability. It is simply best practice and is defined in federal education law. The diagnostic reading assessment must investigate all areas of reading.]
